Couples Going Against the Grain (CGATG) started from a place of love, lessons, and the decision to do marriage on our terms. Some days it’s romantic dinners, other days it’s tough conversations, and sometimes it’s laughing so hard you cry. Through it all, we are continuing to choose each other.

We believe marriage should be lived out loud-not by the world’s script, but what works for you. Going against the grain means shaking off other people’s opinions about a wedding, a relationship, or marriage and what “they should” look like and writing your own rules together.
